Thanks for sharing this :) I totally agree.

The demands placed on girls are ridiculous and unfortunately we feed them even more by agreeing to satisfy people out there.
People, in general, attempt to create an identity based on the things we own or have. The more I think about it, the more ridiculous I think it is. We make up excuses saying that the things we wear and own is a way of expressing ourselves.... but really is that what it is?? Why do things that will ROT and waste away represent our everlasting souls and minds and hearts? So sad.
We put our worth and value in what we wear or what we don't wear.

anyways, lets continue to pray and encourage modesty in this flashy world

Thank you for this article! Reminds me of a conversation I had with a few of my close girl friends last weekend. I was telling them how I had just recently watched part of a new documentary on Thailand's increasing problem of prostitution and human-trafficking (http://www.exoduscry.com/). Thailand has an extremely high rate of prostitution and human-trafficking today and the issue is not just in Thailand but infecting major cities all across the globe. My friend who has been living in Bangkok for a 6 month job project says every time he gets in a cab the driver asks him if he's looking to "party". This is because he is a foreigner and tons of men from around the world flock to Thailand to pay for women. When I saw the prostitutes in this film I was shocked-- not at the way these women looked or acted, but at how these prostitutes reminded me of the girls I see walking around on campus on Thursday/Friday/Weekend nights!! Short-short skirts/dresses with barely any top. This "style" has become widely popularized among young women in America. Girls get dressed up and go out looking like well, simply put: prostitutes! Not surprisingly, acquaintance/gang rape is rising rapidly on college campuses today. Now when I see my friends posting photos from last night's clubbing adventure or fraternity party and see the way they are dressed to impress I wonder if they are aware of the striking resemblance they share with those victims in the streets of Bangkok, and even cities right off their campus. Real women who are stuck in a life of selling their bodies to strangers for money only so their pimps and masters can feed off their income.

Who is it that is telling girls today that less is more? That baring your body will give them confidence and appeal? And as Caitie put it, when did looking like a prostitute become attractive or even acceptable?
