Seed welcomes submissions by anyone. We give high priority to creative pieces on faith-related topics of interest to university students, faculty and staff. Pieces may be thoughtful, scholarly, provocative, passionate, cheerful, serious, humorous or satirical.
If you would like to publish something here, send your ideas or drafts to psuseed@gmail.com.
We do not impose any ideological litmus tests. Publication here does not indicate that your opinions are supported by us or that we believe your claims are factually accurate.
Articles should be about a single, well defined topic. Writing should be in standard English and accessible to a broad audience. Be concise. Avoid technical language, jargon and cliché. Although there is no minimum or maximum length, we expect that most pieces will be 1,000 words or less.
Writing should be good natured. Criticism, if warranted, must be offered in a spirit of kindness. Condescending, demeaning, mocking or offensive statements are unacceptable.
Opinion pieces should be thoughtful and well reasoned, demonstrating an ability to see multiple sides to an issue. If the issue truly has only one side, then it is self-evident and not worth writing about.
Plagiarism is not acceptable. Quotations, if present, must appear with proper credit.
Material appearing on this website may remain in our archives indefinitely. Contributors give blanket permission for Seed to reprint and use material for organizational purposes. By publishing here, you agree that your work may be used in this manner.
